Where We Work

CRDI's roots are in Somalia, where the organization has worked since 2018 in regions most affected by conflict, climate shocks, and extreme poverty — including communities facing the compounded effects of displacement and environmental degradation. That work spans both rural and urban areas, reaching remote and underserved communities that are often the hardest to serve.

Building on that foundation, CRDI is now extending its reach into Kenya — recognizing that resilience, displacement, and climate vulnerability rarely stop at a border. This regional footprint allows CRDI to design cross-border programming, share learning between country teams, and respond faster where crises span both countries.
